We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Restaurant General Manager to join our team in Norfolk, VA
. As the AGM, you will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant and provide exceptional customer service. You will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing the staff, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to maximize profitability and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

• Assist the Restaurant General Manager in leading and motivating the restaurant team
• Directly oversee all front-of-house and bar operations, ensuring service standards align with Jack Brown's brand and culture
• Ensure smooth and efficient operations by overseeing food and beverage service, seating, and customer flow
• Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans and promotional activities
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplies to ensure adequate stock
• Assist in handling customer complaints and resolving any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
• Train and develop bartenders and FOH staff on product knowledge, beer styles, spirits, and responsible service
• Collaborate with the management team to analyze financial reports and implement cost-control measures

• 2+ years experience managing a full-service bar program in a high-volume environment
• Proven experience with beer ordering, draft system knowledge, and working directly with distributors
• Strong understanding of craft beer styles, seasonal programming, and inventory rotation
• Experience managing liquor purchasing and maintaining targeted pour cost percentages
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Salary: $62,000-$65,000

Medical, Dental, Vision insurance offered by Jack Brown's – a $8,000+ value per year, effective at the 1st of the month, 60 days after employment begins in a full-time salaried management position.
