Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who connects easily with others, drives sales, and makes customers feel special. This role requires working some evenings, weekends, and holidays and reporting to your Store Manager, with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team specialists.

What You ll Do
  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs
  • Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention
  • Assist with opening/closing of a store retail environment
  • Handle cash properly
  • Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
  • Support fellow sales agents when needed
  • Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training
  • May be required to work in other locations in the same geographical area
What s In It For You?

There is a variable targeted total compensation of $48,868 ($23.49/hr.) with top performers (top 10%) averaging over $63,224 ($30.40/hr.). Targeted compensation may vary based on location, experience, and completion of minimum sales targets. Compensation includes a full-time hourly base rate of $16/hr. plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279. A ramp period of up to 2 months to adjust to commission earnings is provided.

Who You Are

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell products using a consultative, solutions-based approach
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to be mobile within the store to greet customers and demonstrate products/services
  • Computer literacy with aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to assist with stock room inventory

Preferred:

  • Some college experience focused in sales, business, or management
  • One year of related experience (Sales, Retail, Service Industry, etc.)
  • Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: USD 15.29 - 22.88 per hour. The hourly rate may vary based on location and candidate experience. This role is eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.

Benefits include a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off each month, seven paid holidays per year, and additional paid time off for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteering, military leave, and parental leave.
