Role Overview

The Director, Value Added Services (VAS) is a commercially driven role focused on product development and promotion of key value-added services. Responsibilities include becoming a product expert, executing sales strategies, supporting and training sales teams, and analyzing performance metrics. The role involves regular contact with internal teams such as Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Care, and Trade, as well as direct engagement with external clients to promote VAS offerings.

Additionally, the role aims to expand wallet share from existing CMA CGM customers through cross-selling with CEVA Logistics.

Functions & Duties
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on VAS products, educating and promoting awareness internally and to customers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive product adoption and sales initiatives.
  • Provide training and informational support to internal teams.
  • Identify focus areas for product implementation by analyzing sales and customer data.
  • Perform detailed performance analysis, review metrics, and develop action plans.
  • Develop product plans and drive sales initiatives.
  • Engage in face-to-face client interactions monthly; travel required.
  • Coordinate with CMA CGM Commercial and CEVA Business Development teams.
  • Promote internal education on CEVA capabilities and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Provide performance insights and actionable solutions to leadership.
  • Drive cross-sell development across product lines and services.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience in procurement, negotiation, employee management, intermodal operations, equipment, and cost management.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset.
  • Understanding of key market drivers and operational savvy.
  • Attention to detail and collaborative work style.
  • Analytical skills and excellent communication (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Excel.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Bachelor's Degree.
  • Preferred:
    Master's Degree.
  • Experience:

    10-15 years of general experience.
