Job Description:
To provide user assistance, student supervision, operational support, and facilities oversight in the Learning Commons @ Perry Library during evening, overnight, and weekend service hours. Position works evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Some knowledge of effective supervisory techniques
- Considerable knowledge of effective customer service techniques
- Basic knowledge of effective research techniques
- Considerable oral and written communication skills
- Considerable organizational and record‑keeping skills
- Basic critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Basic computer applications skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to take initiative and work well independently
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to learn and develop new skills
- Considerable experience in providing quality customer service in a public setting
- Some supervisory experience
- Basic library research experience
- Equivalent combination of education and related experience
Hourly employees are restricted to working 29 hours per week on average or 1500 hours in total in the May 1 – April 30 period. This position does not have health insurance, retirement, or leave.
Annual Salary/Hourly RateSalary range between $15.49 and $17.14 per hour
