Position: Security Officer - Part-Time Area Patrol — Disputanta, VA
As a Part-Time Security Officer
, you will monitor and patrol docks, yards, and access points, conduct routine rounds, and document security-related activity. You will remain highly visible to help discourage incidents, support visitor and driver check-ins, and communicate clearly with site teams. Pay: $18.76 / Hour
Job Schedule: Part-Time
Schedule- Thursday night shift: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
- Saturday afternoon/evening shift: 01:00 PM – 09:00 PM

- Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, post orders, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the distribution facility, trailer yards, loading docks, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and control entry/exit of employees, drivers, and visitors by verifying credentials, issuing temporary passes when directed, and maintaining logs.
- Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders, and documenting actions taken.
- Complete daily activity and incident reports, operate radios and other communications equipment, and promptly report hazards or facility concerns to supervision.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
