Security Guard – Government Facility Patrols PT (Part‑Time). Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring in Norfolk, VA to serve and safeguard government clients. In this role you will monitor and patrol assigned locations, deter security‑related incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible presence.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Observe and report suspicious activities and/or persons, documenting all incidents as required.
- Communicate and collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as needed.
- Follow post orders and protocols specific to the government environment, adapting as necessary to changing situations.
- Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by answering questions and providing directions within the location.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Eligibility for a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour
Job Schedule: Day – Wed 3:00PM – 11:00PM;
Thur 3:00PM – 11:00PM;
Sun 2:00PM – 10:00PM
