description

the material management specialist will be a member of the carry‑on special technologies engineering and integration (stei) logistics team, focusing primarily on all aspects of material procurement, handling and management.

• managing and maintaining inventory accuracy using customer directed supply systems, conducting regular wall‑to‑wall inventories, and performing discrepancy analysis
• shipping, receiving, inventory, and requesting fulfillment of electronic/electrical components
• serving as the onsite point of contact for material requests
• reviewing, analyzing and executing purchase requisitions with our manufacturing and planning teams to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
• creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers and manage modifications to purchase orders
• reviewing and performing thorough due diligence on purchase requisitions to ensure taa compliance on all purchases

• two years of full‑time professional experience as a logistician
• two years of full‑time professional experience with government procurements
• required specialized experience:
  • two years of full‑time professional experience in navy integrated logistics support and system life‑cycle support areas of the dod/navy integrated logistics support system

• experience with microsoft office
• enterprise logistics management system (elms) preferred, not required
• government commercial purchase card (gcpc) program
