Role Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer for a position in Norfolk, VA. The role involves evaluating communication hardware and software, troubleshooting network issues, and administering various network environments. This position requires working within a team and taking direction from a lead network engineer.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate communication hardware and software.
* Troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Base Area Networks (BAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
* Administer LAN/BAN/WAN environments.
* Schedule and manage network conversions and cutovers.
* Coordinate with users and sites for network-related activities.
* Perform configuration, integration, and testing of large-scale computer integrated networks.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Certifications:
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* IAT Level II (such as Security+ CE)
Technical
Skills:
* Network configuration experience.
* Routing and switching experience.
