Armed Security Officer - NNSY

HTS is recruiting professional armed security officers with active secret clearance to serve on the Mid Atlantic Regional contract at the Norfolk Naval Ship Yard base locations in Virginia.

• Provide security and safety for personnel, property, facilities, and assets.
• Handle entry control point services to deter and deny unauthorized personnel, property, equipment, vessels, or vehicles from facility ingress and egress.
• Safeguard the base against sabotage or any incident that may jeopardize normal operation (e.g., theft, robbery, riot, lawlessness, demonstrations).
• Perform identification checks to ensure only authorized personnel and vehicles are allowed access.
• Conduct inspections to allow only authorized commercial vehicles and cargo to access the facility.
• Execute emergency closure procedures (ECP) during emergencies to deny ingress and egress of personnel, property, equipment, vessels, or vehicles.
• Provide roving guard services and perimeter and interior patrols to detect and report security breaches and suspicious activities promptly.
• Provide escort and courier services to ensure safe and timely delivery of personnel and property.
• Assist in planning and procedures for major catastrophes (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, conflagration, hostile acts) to maintain adequate security measures.

• Must obtain or possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must acquire VA DCJS (Armed).
• Minimum 2–5 years of armed experience in security industry (guard services, police, military, etc.).
• Possess a valid driver’s license and high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work evenings, overnights, and weekends as required.
• Pass a basic medical evaluation, psychological assessment, and performance fitness test.
• Complete pre‑employment drug testing.
• Be at least 21 years of age or be an honorably discharged veteran.
