KR is accepting applications for experienced Unarmed Security Officers to provide security guard and patrol security services in Norfolk, VA.

• Maintain order and security, and remain professional, courteous, and respectful
• Arrive on time, completely outfitted, and ready for duty
• Adhere to customer policy and maintain confidential data
• Assist in inspection of interior and exterior of building
• Complete building inspection report
• Patrol halls throughout buildings
• Monitor for suspicious items or activities
• Respond to calls for assistance, as needed
• Provide breaks/relief to security staff
• Monitor parking lot and employee entrance/exit
• Complete daily logbook entry
• Ensure the safekeeping of all keys, access cards, fobs, and codes

• Eighteen (18) years of age
• High school graduate or equivalent certificate
• One (1) year of experience in security/law enforcement work
• Must possess a VA DCJS Unarmed Security Guard License
• Must undergo a fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA) in accordance with TSA regulations
• Complete a background check with no clear criminal record, and not on any type of probation, no convictions or charges for any form of domestic violence
• Must obtain and maintain an Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) at all times
• Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English; must be able to pass an English Language Assessment Test
• Read, understand, and apply printed rules and directions
• Stand and/or walk for an entire shift, run and climb stairs

• High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (Required)

• VA DCJS Unarmed Security Officer License (Required)
