Location: Norfolk and Surrounding Area
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 to $105,000 annual
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair fire and burglar alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement of alarm systems and related equipment.
- Run and terminate low voltage cabling for alarm systems.
- Program and configure alarm panels and related devices.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the use and maintenance of alarm systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and service calls.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in installing and servicing fire and burglar alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, wiring, and cabling.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
