Generator and HVAC Mechanic – SWA

Own your opportunity to support the nation’s defense by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing all types of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems used by the U.S. Army, including the 150kW EPP III generators.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and sustainment support on 3kW to 150kW, 50/60/400
Hz generators, including installation and removal from fixed and mobile locations. - Diagnose and repair alternating current (AC) systems, direct current (DC) systems, electronic control systems, and other program logic controls.
- Repair HVAC, chiller, and environmental control units, whether standalone or mounted on trailers and vehicles.
- Maintain all types of commercial power generation equipment, military‑spec generators, and Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS).
- Operate a load bank during testing.
- Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals.
- Perform work in both shop and field environments as needed.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School diploma.
- Experience:
- BA/BS plus 2 years’ experience.
- AA/AS plus 4 years’ experience.
- High School diploma plus 7 years’ experience.
- Technical
Skills:
Extensive diesel generator experience; knowledge of generator parallel systems and switch gear; experience brazing copper tubing and evacuating/recharging refrigerant. - Security Clearance: Secret.
- Role requirements: U.S. passport valid for at least 2 more years, valid U.S. driver’s license, and an international driver’s permit (AAA).

608 Technician Certification – EPA is a plus.
