Truestone, an Akima company, is hiring an Engineering Technician II that will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, cabling, fabrication, and assembly of electrical and electronics equipment. The candidate must be able to perform assignments with little supervision after initial instruction, work independently, and perform tasks such as wiring, soldering, and testing of devices.
Responsibilities- Perform installation, repairs, painting and general upkeep of shipboard systems to ensure continuity of communication systems.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic, and RF communications equipment as needed.
- Comprehend and execute tasks of moderate complexity with minimal supervision.
- Apply NAVSEA installation standards and Military Specifications for shipboard C4
ISR systems installations. - Interpret technical drawings or publications to execute specific tasks.
- Adapt quickly to new system installations through independent study, research, and comprehension.
- Fabricate connectors, solder, and build cableways or telecommunications components per BICSI, 3M, IPC, or NAVSEA instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- US Citizen able to pass company background check.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of experience working with C4
ISR and/or C5
ISR systems. - Ability to use a computer (email, basic office applications).
- Shipboard installation or maintenance experience.
- C4
ISR integration and installation experience. - Familiarity and competence with hand tools.
- Ability to gain and maintain access to shipyards and government facilities as required by contract.
- Ability to work in a shipboard environment.
- Works well within a team environment.
- Preferred - associate degree in engineering/electronics technology or formal electronics training from a Class A or C military school.
- OSHA 10 Maritime Certification.

Pay Range$29.15 per hour
Health & Welfare$4.93 per hour
