Crane Operator

HRBT Expansion Project in Norfolk, VA, United States. Full Time.

• Operate a crane to lift, move, position, and reposition heavy materials and equipment on construction sites or in industrial environments.
• Complete tasks such as driving pylons, setting beams, directing operations, and assisting with rigging.
• Operate in accordance with loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform daily safety checks, routine maintenance (oil, grease, service), and complete required paperwork.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• NCCCO Certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass DOT physical.
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• Ability to work overtime, flexible hours (day/night), and in adverse weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Good communication skills to convey information effectively.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 3‑5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Experience with construction equipment preferred.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional climbing on and off equipment and bending to inspect machinery. Working on uneven and potentially hazardous terrain, including at heights, underground, or near water bodies depending on location.

Full time; may require overtime, flexible hours (day/night), and work in adverse weather conditions.
