The Field Generator Technician will install, repair, and perform routine and preventative maintenance on backup power systems for telecommunications, local businesses, and emergency service personnel. Candidates must be based in Virginia.

Hourly rate: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience. Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

• Level 1: $25–$27 per hour
• Level 2: $28–$30 per hour
• Level 3: $31–$35 per hour
• Level 4: $35–$40 per hour

• Perform generator repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial generators
• Conduct generator troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Maintain knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment
• Evaluate and recommend required repairs
• Provide excellent customer skills
• Perform other duties as assigned

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Minimum age 25 years
• GED or High School Diploma
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Mechanical background; generator mechanics a plus
• Current driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Computer literate;
  Windows environment preferred (MS Office)
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Can lift 50 pounds and perform bending/twisting multiple times a day
• Work flexible hours, days, travel, and overnight stays as needed
• Maintain a professional appearance and safety standards
• Troubleshooting skills; operate basic shop equipment
• DOT Medical Card required
