About the Opportunity
Professional Fire Protection is currently hiring an Apprentice for the Fire Sprinkler division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing, in‑demand, essential trade. We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Sprinkler Technician.
We are looking for hard‑working, hands‑on individuals who want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The industry is in high demand and can offer a long‑term career with a well‑paying income through training, certification, and years of quality work.
Compensation- Hourly position; pay rate contingent on experience and background. Discussed during the interview process.
- Potential quarterly bonuses.
- All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am paid at the rate and half rate for every day of the week.
- Current valid driver's license with three or fewer points.
- Three years of licensed driving experience.
- Experience using hand tools such as channel locks and pipe wrenches.
- Willingness to work varied hours, nights, early mornings, and weekend shifts when needed.
- Capable and willing to learn and study about different fire sprinkler systems to pass tests and become certified.
- Comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12 ft and on lifts.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
- Strong communication skills with customers, explaining work and necessary repairs.
- Strong writing skills; detail‑oriented write‑ups of service work.
- Well organized, able to track service tickets and process required documents for each service performed.
