HRBT Expansion Project in Norfolk, VA, United States Full Time
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment on construction sites.
- Ensure installations meet code and project requirements.
- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
- Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other equipment using general and specialized testing equipment.
- Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
- Understanding of schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
- Working knowledge of switch gear, motor control centers, AC motors, generators, machinery/mechanisms, and frequency inverters.
- Ability to work in high, confined, and hazardous spaces.
- Physical ability to crawl, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, reach, routinely lift heavy objects, push, and pull objects.
- Ability to work overtime and flexible hours (day/night/weekends).
- Ability to work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
- Knowledge of DOT standards and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with medium voltage.
- Experience in CPR, OSHA, or other workplace safety certifications (if applicable).

- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
