ELECTRICIAN MAINTENANCE
GDIT is seeking a Marine Electrician to help support the SACSS program in Seattle, Washington.
This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided.
Must be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities- Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.
- Uses hand tools and testing equipment.
- Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
- Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment.
- Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
- Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Works from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Must be able to obtain all necessary badges (DBIDS and shipyard).
- Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 75 lbs.
- Travel (within and outside of the continental United States) Maybe required for 20% of the time.
- US Citizen
- HS/GED
- 1+ years of experience
Cableway Certified, Connertor Certified, Modular, COAX, Multi-Pin, Connector Fabricator and Inspector, Connector Trained and Qualified with 40 hours OJT. Fiber Optic Cable Handling, Pulling, Forming/Shaping, BOF

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.83 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
