Title:
Painter, Junior
- Paint, stain, enamel, varnish, lacquer, and redecorate interior and exterior surfaces.
- Mix paint and match colors to achieve desired color.
- Use cloth, brushes, sprayer, roller, or sponges to apply paint or other coatings.
- Remove old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds, or a blowtorch.
- Fill nail holes, joints, and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler.
- Replace door or window glass.
- Requisition new painting supplies and equipment.
- Participate in special projects, as required.
Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Experience:
1-3 years of related painting experience.
Skills: Exterior Design, Painting, Plastering
Certifications: None (Preferred: marine painting and lagging per NAVSEA STANDARD ITEM 009-11)

Hourly Rate: Likely between $23.30 - $28.75. Compensation will be based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
