Position SummaryKITCO Fiber Optics is seeking skilled and motivated Field Services Technicians to join our Technical Services team in Norfolk, VA. In this role, you will perform fiber optic termination, testing, troubleshooting, blown fiber installation/removal, and splicing support across a variety of shipboard systems and vessel classes.
Key Responsibilities- Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable assemblies
- Install and remove blown optical fiber systems
- Perform splicing and support tasks on shipboard fiber optic networks
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work item instructions
- Operate optical test equipment to verify cable performance
