Position: Maintenance Tech I (Generalist)

We are seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician I (Generalist) to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance tasks across multiple trades to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Maintain common areas, resident units, and outdoor spaces in excellent condition.
  • Assist with unit turnovers, including minor repairs, cleaning, and preparation for new residents.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and community policies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1–3 years of general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, especially when interacting with senior residents.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
