Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Field/Service Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
- Load system‑level controller software and perform basic commissioning and diagnostics from system‑level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators).
- Truck‑solve and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems; respond to basic warranty calls.
- Provide customers with a high level of service to address building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items.
- Communicate with management, contractors, or customers regarding job progress and issues.
- Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks (time sheets, expense reports, on‑site documentation).
- Document changes and provide information for as‑built documentation.
- Follow all safety standards, attend required safety training, and maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure efficient facility operation, including upselling opportunities and supporting quotes.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and external contacts ethically and professionally.
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
- PC proficiency and ability to program HVAC‑related software.
Hourly rate: $24.93–$32.89, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
