Maintenance Trades Helper

Amentum is looking for a Submarine Peculiar Special & Support Equipment Trades Helper to provide Program Engineering Services to Commander, Naval Submarine Force Atlantic-COMSUBLANT (TYCOM), Submarine Squadron Six and Eight (CSS-6/8) and Naval Submarine Support Facility (NSSF New London) Support.

• Assist one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill.
• Keep a worker supplied with materials and tools.
• Clean the working area, machine, and equipment.
• Assist journeyman by holding materials or tools.
• Perform other unskilled tasks as required by journeyman.
• Perform trade‑specific duties which may include specialized machine operations or parts of a trade performed by full‑time workers, depending on the trade.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation:
This is an hourly, overtime‑eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the Act.

The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation Details: $18.00 – 19.50 per hour. This range is a good‑faith estimate of the offer; actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements and relevant laws.
