Guy Smith Home Services is seeking a Residential Service Plumber to handle diagnostics, repairs, and installations for homeowners in Rocky Mount, NC. You'll respond to scheduled service calls, troubleshoot plumbing issues, recommend solutions, and complete quality work in occupied homes. Responsibilities
- Respond to scheduled residential plumbing service calls in the Rocky Mount area
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide repair or replacement options to homeowners
- Perform repairs and installations including fixtures, water heaters, piping, and drains
- Ensure work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and protect customers' homes
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, pricing, and recommended solutions
- Document work performed using company systems and follow dispatch procedures
- Collaborate with team members and support cross-training in HVAC and electrical
- Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and customer service skills
- Represent Guy Smith Home Services with professionalism, reliability, and integrity
Required Skills
- Residential plumbing diagnosis and repair
- Water heater installation and maintenance
- Fixture installation (sinks, toilets, faucets)
- Drain cleaning and basic sewer line work
- Soldering, pipe fitting, and PVC/PEX piping
- Reading blueprints and plumbing schematics
- Use of plumbing hand and power tools
- Estimating jobs and explaining options to homeowners
