Marine Elevator Mechanic
Job Description
Insight Global is hiring experienced Outside Machinists with strong marine and shipyard backgrounds to support aircraft carrier (CVN) maintenance, overhaul, and modernization programs at NOB and NNSY. In this role, you will perform precision mechanical work on critical shipboard systems, restoring, aligning, installing, and testing cargo elevators, weapon elevators, door hatches, and conveyors.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:This role is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft carrier elevators, cargo handling systems, vertical stores conveyors, and related equipment. The individual will diagnose and resolve malfunctions efficiently while applying a strong understanding of production processes and technical procedures to complete assignments. Responsibilities may include leading and directing other team members, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and performing complex, non-routine tasks both within and outside their primary specialty to ensure successful completion of installations and work assignments.
The position also requires developing and utilizing technical documentation such as controlled work packages, work procedures, test documents, reports, and trip reports, as well as coordinating schedules, providing status updates, and delivering briefings to customers and senior leadership.
Pay Range 25/hr to 28.50/hr

- High School diploma, Trade School certification, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of related mechanical/industrial experience
- Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing structural and mechanical systems
- Proficient with power tools and precision measurement equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and technical manuals
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Willing to travel as needed for project assignments
