BARRY ROBINSON CENTER - NORFOLK, VA 23502## Description
** We are Hiring Residential Coaches for Day Shift!
** The Barry Robinson Center is a residential treatment facility serving military-connected youth ages 11–17. Our Center provides a holistic, therapeutic environment that helps youth and their families begin the path to healing, growth, and long-term success.

As our program continues to grow, we are looking for compassionate and dependable team members to join us as Residential Coaches (RCs). We provide a strong orientation and training program designed to set you up for success, including CPR and First Aid certification, ongoing support, and professional development opportunities.
** What You’ll Do
** As a
** Residential Coach (RC),
** you will help create a safe, supportive, and structured environment for adolescents in our care.

Responsibilities include:

* Supervising and supporting residents throughout daily activities
* Ensuring safety and maintaining appropriate behavioral expectations
* Building positive, professional relationships with youth
* Supporting emotional growth and healthy coping skills
* Responding calmly and effectively in high-pressure situations
* Documenting resident behaviors, staff interventions, and outcomes accurately
* Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team

** Starting Pay: $18.00/hour, plus shift differential on weekends +$2.50/hr.
**** Schedule Options
** Traditional:
Scheduled shifts throughout the week, includes every other weekend,   - Weekday Day

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm  - Scheduled every other weekend: alternates each week between day shift (7:00 am
-3:30 pm) and evening shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm) (
* weekend differential each hour worked*)
** Qualifications**
* ** Bachelor’s degree in human services and at least six months of professional experience working with youth.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Services; or Associates degree and 3 months experience working with children; or High school graduate or GED certificate and have 6 months experience working with children. (Bachelors degree in Human Services with 6 months experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.)
