The City of Norfolk Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking intermittent part-time Recreation Aides responsible for supporting recreation programs and activities and assisting program participants with a focus on athletics and fitness.

Department Hiring Rate$15.00/hour
Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To- Assists with the planning and implementation of programs including sports competitions, senior recreation, fitness, skate park, therapeutic recreation, and special events.
- Provides oversight and direction of program participants and volunteers, monitors events, programs, participants, and spectators.
- Performs administrative duties including answering phones, responding to patrons, completing forms, setting up and breaking down necessary equipment, etc.
