Position Overview
The Logistic Management Specialist (GS-13) provides senior-level logistics management and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) expertise in direct support of Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) aircraft carrier readiness operations. This position supports CVN readiness across all phases of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) by ensuring logistics data accuracy, material readiness visibility, and effective coordination between maintenance, supply, and configuration management activities.
The individual focuses on logistics execution, readiness reporting, configuration data management, and lifecycle sustainment of shipboard systems, enabling data-driven decision-making for aircraft carrier maintenance, modernization, and operational readiness.

Logistics & Readiness Operations SupportCollect, analyze, and report logistics readiness data supporting CVN mission capability assessments.
Track and assess supply readiness, material availability, and logistics impacts to training, maintenance, and deployment schedules.
Support Carrier Readiness Calls (CRC) by providing logistics inputs to improve accuracy, coordination, and leadership decision-making.
Provide senior-level ILS technical assistance across shipboard and shore-based logistics programs.
Support logistics documentation, technical data management, configuration validation, and logistics policy implementation.
Assist in shipboard equipment validations, logistics records updates, and reconciliation of configuration data within authorized databases.
Support provisioning, allowancing, and logistics impacts associated with maintenance, modernization, and alteration installations.
Support aircraft carrier Configuration Data Management (CDM) efforts, including database maintenance, validation, and reconciliation of logistics data.
Participate in logistics working groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and readiness forums supporting CVN logistics governance.
Prepare logistics-related reports, studies, and recommendations supporting aircraft carrier logistics effectiveness and efficiency.
Assist in identifying, tracking, expediting, and managing material requisitions supporting Ship’s Force Work Packages (SFWP) and TYCOM-directed maintenance activities.
Support warehousing coordination, excess material tracking, and logistics information system updates.
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve supply chain performance and readiness outcomes.
Provide logistics support to maintenance planning, availability work packages (AWP), modernization planning, and execution efforts.
Support logistics requirements development for Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Ship Alterations (S/As), and Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) initiatives.
Assist with logistics impacts associated with Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH), inactivation availabilities, and alteration execution tracking.
Support development and delivery of logistics-related training for shipboard personnel, including classroom instruction, onboard OJT, and refresher training.
Assist in maintaining technical libraries, logistics training materials, and knowledge management systems (e.g., SharePoint).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and supply of U.S. Naval ship systems or equipment.
At least 2 years of experience in maintenance management or a directly related logistics discipline.
Demonstrated experience supporting projects or programs substantially similar to aircraft carrier logistics, readiness, maintenance, or ILS tasking described in this solicitation.
Strong working knowledge of Navy logistics, maintenance, and readiness processes, including ILS principles and configuration data management.
Ability to analyze logistics and readiness data, prepare reports, and brief senior leadership.
Experience supporting CVN platforms and TYCOM-level logistics or readiness organizations.
Familiarity with Navy logistics and maintenance systems (e.g., OMMS-NG, NTCSS, configuration databases).
Experience supporting modernization, alteration installations, or major maintenance availabilities.
