CDL A Transportation Driver

Gulf Winds International is seeking Local Owner Operators for their Norfolk, VA location. Gulf Winds provides dependable freight volumes across container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation. Compensation:

Home Time, Route and Schedule

• Home most nights
  • Occasional overnights may be required depending on route
• Routes: out and back from Norfolk
• Level of touch: 75% drop and pick/hook

Equipment Requirements

• Truck must have double or triple axle and be able to pass DOT inspection. No year make or model restrictions if the other criteria are met

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years
• TWIC Required
• Haz Mat not required but adds additional opportunities
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months.
• No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months
• Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years
• Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years
