Hepaco, a Clean Harbors Company in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light‑duty trucks and equipment at customer sites. The role involves driving and non‑driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean‑up.
All new hires must attend a two‑week training academy; travel expenses are paid by the company. Hourly pay ranges from $28.00 – $29.00.
Travel / On Call / Emergency ResponseThe driver may be required to be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week, and may engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

- Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
- Proper placarding to meet company and DOT requirements.
- Maintain daily logs, timesheets and various reports.
- Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations.
- Safely operate vehicles according to U.S. DOT and other requirements.
- Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Observe all company environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Hazmat and tanker endorsement.
- Ability to use various mobile devices.
- Perform physical functions required by the job.
- Successfully complete background check, drug test and physical exam.
- Meet facial hair standards required for respirator use.
- Commercial driver experience.
- Hazmat and tanker endorsement.
- Previous Hazmat experience.
- Previous manual labor experience.
The posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this role. Final compensation may vary based on location, experience, skills and business needs. The role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
