Duties
You will monitor, verify, and coordinate information that ensures the timely loading/off-loading of cargo, mail, and passengers.
You will serve as an Information Controller and/or Ramp Coordinator within the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC), a 24-hour per day, 7 day per week, 365 days per year operation.
You will receive and disseminate information from inside and outside the unit.
You will deliver and receive cargo and passenger manifest data from aircraft and brief aircrews regarding characteristics of cargo and number of passengers.
You will serve as the eyes and ears of the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC) on the aircraft and aircraft parking ramp.
You will monitor all ground handling operations and inform the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC) and work centers regarding the status of operations.
You will create aircraft ground handling records for every aircraft arrival and departure.
You will enter, compile, and maintain cargo and passenger movement data in electronic databases.
You will anticipate, confirm, and arrange all ground handling services to include parking, towing, pushback, power, fuel, etc.
You will create shift logs to record information concerning operational problem areas such as aircraft delays, safety issues, cargo loading/off-loading problems, and passenger/aircrew complaints.
You will provide professional customer service using all available modes of communication and will ensure a continuous flow of information and technical data.
You will contact representatives from other base functions, departments, agencies, and government contractors to coordinate airlift support requirements.
You will coordinate airfield traffic activities.
You will brief aircrews regarding cargo load characteristics, special category cargo, and other information.
You will complete airfield flightline and vehicle operations training and remain current on all airfield flightline procedures.
You will perform other duties at the direction and discretion of management.
