Universal Logistics is a leading provider of customized transportation and logistics solutions, offering a comprehensive suite of services including transportation, value‑added, intermodal, and specialized services utilized throughout entire supply chains. We continue to expand our footprint and are looking for qualified contractors to service both international and domestic container freight.
What We Offer- Potential gross earnings up to $1,500 - $1,800 weekly
- PORT work – required to obtain a TWIC card (Universal reimbursement)
- Dayshift – 5:00am–5:00pm
- Long and short lanes available
- All runs are home daily
- Light‑touch freight

- Consistent year‑round work
- Operate a ClassA commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
- Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
- Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior intermodal experience preferred but not required.
- ClassA CDL.
- Hazmat preferred;
Universal will reimburse if interested in obtaining. - 6 months of verifiable on‑the‑job experience in the last year.
- Clean MVR – no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
