Warehouse Associate, Forklift Operator, Material Handler, General Labor

Monday - Friday 11:00pm – 7:30am
This role is responsible for unloading products from trucks and breaking down pallets. The associate provides assistance to various warehouse positions as requested, including sanitation, selection, inventory control, and other duties. Responsibilities may also include fueling, washing, and cleaning semi‑trucks and trailers based on the assigned distribution center.
Responsibilities- Unload products from trucks, break down pallets, stack (lump) products onto pallets, and organize items for placement in appropriate warehouse racks or pick slots.
- Move or handle cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork, tobacco, and related products as specified on order forms.
- Assist with sanitation duties such as cleaning the warehouse and emptying garbage as assigned.
- Fuel, wash, or clean semi‑trucks and trailers according to center requirements.
- Inspect products for damage, verify product accuracy and order quantities against purchase orders and pallet labels.
- Assist with selection orders: pick products from racks, assemble, palletize, shrink‑wrap, and label cases or pallets for customer orders.
- Lift products weighing 30–60 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by properly disposing of pallet boards, wood chips, trash, and cleaning spills promptly according to safety guidelines.
- Operate power industrial equipment such as long‑tongued electric pallet jacks, high‑extender high‑lifts, and other moving equipment (e.g., walkers).
- Ensure equipment is in good working order by following safety checklists as required.
- Report damaged product and quality issues and notify supervisors of out‑of‑stock or low‑volume items.
- Participate in product rotation, move products to dock areas, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Accept additional responsibilities as needed.
- High School diploma (preferred) or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of warehouse experience preferred.
- Prior experience operating power industrial equipment (electric pallet jack, long‑tongued electric pallet jack, high‑extender high‑lift) preferred.
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation for 8–10 hour shifts.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, day and evening hours, and overtime as assigned.
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and arithmetic; ability to interpret order forms and selection labels.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently in a fast‑paced warehouse.
- Safe operation of warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and other material handling devices.
- Adherence to company safety policies and practices.
- Capability to work in multi‑temperature areas (freezer, cooler, dry conditions) as assigned.
- Reliability in reporting for work regularly and on time as scheduled.
- Ability to take direction from supervisors and collaborate with others.
- Capacity to work under pressure, organize and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and completeness in task performance.
- Flexibility to adapt productively to changes in work requirements.
The role requires frequent sitting, walking, standing, and use of hands to handle, grasp, twist objects, tools, or controls. Tasks include repetitive foot movements for operating foot controls, crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching with hands and arms. The associate must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, with assistance as needed, and may be exposed to temperature and humidity changes.
The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to high.
