Join our team in Norfolk, VA, a vibrant city known for its rich history, beautiful waterfront, and thriving arts scene. As a Record Center Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the management and organization of our storage solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Frequently kneel, squat, reach, and bend forward throughout shifts.
  • Move, arrange, lift, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing from 24lbs to over 100lbs.
  • Manually move boxes and use hand carts for transportation.
  • Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
  • Lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
  • Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders using the proprietary computer system.
  • Operate a handheld scanner and climb ladders safely.
  • Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
  • Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.
Qualifications
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surfaces/elevation without assistance.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance for prolonged periods.
  • Experience with loading, operating, and moving hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.
  • Protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best" is required.
Work Schedule

Normal work schedule consists of 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
