Sr. Accountant hybrid

Sr. Accountant – 6‑9 month contract, hybrid

$40–$50 per hour | Lacon, IL | Hybrid | Consulting

Join a stable manufacturing company in a high‑impact senior accounting role supporting a major business transition. The role serves as the senior accounting leader supporting local operations and acting as the Controller’s right hand during an extended integration project.

• Work Schedule:
  
  On‑site initially (~60 days for training), then Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
• Compensation: $40–$50/hr, DOE

• Oversee and review AP and AR processes from start to finish
• Review customer invoicing prior to distribution
• Review and approve vendor invoices
• Perform and manage daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
• Support month‑end accounting activities
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and transactions
• Supervise accounting workflows and external support resources
• Serve as a hands‑on contributor while providing accounting leadership
• Partner closely with the Controller on operational and integration‑related initiatives

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• AR & AP experience

• Public accounting experience
• Construction or manufacturing background
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Flexible, low‑bureaucracy work environment
• High visibility and direct partnership with leadership
• Broad exposure to accounting operations and business management
• Ability to make an immediate impact during a major business transition
• Exposure to manufacturing operations without overly complex accounting processes
