We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee the ground-up construction of a new Rivian dealership in Normal, Illinois.

Job Description:

• Manage all day-to-day field operations from site mobilization through project completion
• Oversee the ground-up construction of a new automotive dealership
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics
• Develop and maintain short-term schedules to keep the project on time
• Review plans, specifications, and subcontractor scopes to identify potential conflicts
• Conduct daily site meetings and communicate project progress with the Project Manager
• Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Enforce all company and project-specific safety requirements
• Manage punch list completion, closeout activities, and final inspections
• Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and field records
• Build strong working relationships with the owner, design team, inspectors, and subcontractors

• At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial construction projects
• Experience managing automotive dealership, retail, or similar commercial projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of sitework, foundations, structural systems, MEP coordination, interiors, and project closeout
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
• Willingness and ability to travel for the duration of assigned projects
• Valid driver’s license
