Job SummaryThe Student Traffic and Digital Operations Assistant position at WGLT supports several important functions at Illinois State University's NPR station. The role works closely with the Traffic and Corporate Support teams to ensure underwriting contracts are fulfilled, particularly for digital products, and supports digital audience engagement products such as newsletters Scoop and Weekend Scoop. The position may also be asked to perform basic audio production and voice work as needed.
PayRate
$16 per hour
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with radio broadcasting.
- Familiarity with business practices at a radio broadcaster, including traffic and underwriting.
- Familiarity with radio broadcasting technology, including traffic and automation systems.
- Experience in a professional or student‑leadership role where close attention to detail was expected and fulfilled.
- Basic audio production knowledge, including Adobe Audition editing software.
5–8 hours per week, scheduled to fit the student’s class or work commitments.

- Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
