Job Summary The Division of Student Affairs Professional Development & Recognition Graduate Assistant works closely with the Associate Director for Professional Development & Staff Recognition. This Graduate Assistant position is multi-faceted and will be responsible for various projects and assignments connected to professional development, recognition ceremonies, and cultural competence training facilitated within the Division of Student Affairs. This position requires weekday hours.
Responsibilities- Administrative Support – 35 percent
- Attending meetings to support note-taking, brainstorming, and planning
- Reserving rooms and ordering catering for events
- Reviewing award application submissions
- Professional Development Support – 40 percent
- Collecting, compiling, and analyzing professional development topics and trends
- Researching, identifying, and maintaining professional development resources
- Gathering materials and resources for sessions and events
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of professional development sessions and recognition ceremonies
- Event Coordination & Setup – 10 percent
- Setting up rooms for sessions and events, including arranging materials, moving tables, and lifting items up to 10 pounds comfortably
- Assessment & Data Reporting – 15 percent
- Creating, analyzing, and reporting on assessment data for professional development and recognition ceremony applications
- Creating and maintaining session registrations and evaluations
Rate / Pay: $2114 for 0.7 FTE appointment
QualificationsMasters of Business Administration;
Master’s Degree in Communication;
Master’s Recreation Administration;
Master’s in Human Development and Family Science;
Master’s in Teaching and Learning;
Masters in Sociology;
Master’s Degree in Social Work;
Educational Administration and Foundations;
College Student Personnel Administration;
Master’s in P-12 Educational Administration
Work Hours: Between 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday

You must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University and/or for the number of hours required for the position.
ISU student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held. International students are restricted by visa status to no more than 20 hours per week when the university is in session, but may work up to 28 hours per week when not in session.
