Position: Adjunct Professor. PhD in Curriculum & Instruction: Early Childhood/ Elementary Education
Summary:

The Department of Teacher Education and Leadership in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavior Sciences at Alabama A & M University seeks one (1) adjunct faculty members to teach doctoral courses in the program for the Early Childhood/ Elementary Education specialization. The PHD program courses are offered synchronous and asynchronous delivery platforms. Interested candidates should submit credentials for evaluation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Teach up to 6 semester hours of graduate courses per semester

* Design courses for online delivery

* Evaluate students' performance in all courses taught

Minimum

Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):

* A terminal degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Curriculum and Instruction with cognate or a terminal degree in Education Administration..

* A minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the graduate school or college of professional studies.

* Evidence of scholarship in the form of research articles, books, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of graduate level content in the specializations mentioned above

* Ability to interpret research data

* Knowledge of the use of Analytics

* Ability to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra instructional delivery platform

* Ability to deliver instructions online in the synchronous, asynchronous or hybrid modalities
