Full-time Substitute Teacher at McLean County Unit District No. 5. The position is responsible for providing classroom instruction and support to Unit 5 students.

This full-time Substitute Teacher position is responsible for providing classroom instruction and support to Unit 5 students.

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans and school rules.
• Lead instruction in the classroom by following the teacher's lesson plans and/or creating lesson plans.
• Instruct students on a variety of classroom topics.
• Build positive relationships.
• Motivate students to learn, and encourage classroom participation.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the students.
• Adapt to the various learning styles and social needs of students.
• Maintain order in the classroom and demonstrate confidence working with students with varying strengths and skills.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the Substitute License through the Regional Office of Education (ROE #17).
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
• Maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.

The work hours for this position are based upon the schools' hours of operation and the school-year calendar.

Fully board paid medical, dental, and vision. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.
