Tutor - ECO

Illinois State University is hiring a Tutor for ECO 101/102. The tutor will provide small-group weekly tutoring tailored to students' needs for lower-level courses, ensuring effective communication and offering additional support tasks as assigned by supervisors in the Dr. Julia N. Visor Academic Center.

• Provide small-group tutoring on a weekly basis for lower-level economics courses (ECO 101/102).
• Communicate effectively with students and tailor help to individual needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by graduate assistant supervisors and the Coordinator of Academic Support Services.
• Required to have an overall GPA of at least 2.80 with a grade of A or high B in the tutoring subject.
• Preferred candidates hold a GPA of 3.00 or higher and have taken additional courses in the subject area.
• Pay rate is $15.00 per hour.
• Work 6-15 hours per week, including some nights and weekends.
• Student employees eligible to participate in the University's 403(b) Plan.
• Applicants must submit a resume and two Tutor Reference forms, including one from faculty in the tutoring subject area.
• Position subject to criminal background check and proof of employment eligibility at Illinois State University.
