Illinois State University is hiring a Program Support Specialist for Academic Support Communities. This role involves delivering individualized academic coaching and support to students, coordinating impactful programs, and serving as a liaison for various student support communities to foster academic transition and persistence.
Highlights- Provide one‑on‑one academic coaching, conduct needs assessments, and develop student success plans.
- Coordinate and facilitate large workshops focused on college transition and academic excellence.
- Plan and execute campus events to promote student engagement and program effectiveness.
- Serve as secondary contact for the Hope Chicago Program, supporting communication and coordination.
- Advocate for equitable academic services and build partnerships with campus and community organizations.
- Supervise graduate assistants and student employees, offering professional development.
- Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in academic support or advising roles.
- Preferred qualifications feature a master’s degree and experience with college access programs and diverse student populations.
- Annual salary range: $45,500 - $50,000.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with required evening and weekend involvement for events.
