The Construction Management Student Worker supports Facilities Planning through project record keeping, documentation, project tracking, and construction administration for campus construction, renovation, infrastructure, and capital improvement projects.
Primary responsibilities include maintaining project files and records; organizing drawings, specifications, correspondence, photographs, and closeout documents; tracking schedules, budgets, milestones, and action items; preparing meeting notes and reports; and assisting with site observations and facility assessments.
This position provides hands-on exposure to facilities planning, project management, budgeting, scheduling, and capital project delivery in a university environment. Perform other duties and functions for Facilities Planning as assigned.

Pay Rate$15.00/hour
Required Qualifications- Current Illinois State University undergraduate student pursuing Construction Management or a closely related field.
- Strong organizational, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and collaborate with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.
- Coursework in construction management, estimating, scheduling, project management, or building systems.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, GIS, or similar software.
- Previous construction, facilities, engineering, or project-related experience.
10-20 hours per week during academic year; additional hours may be available during breaks and summer. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30. Specific schedule to be determined based on department needs and student class schedule.
