Quality Resident Engineer​/Automotive Liaison

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking a Quality Resident Liaison/Representative in Normal, IL. Full‑time position paying $23-25 per hour.

This job is key for the success of TRIGO's Quality Resident Engineering business. The main objectives are to avoid official claims from the customer by applying preventive and corrective actions.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing technical support and promoting the contracted customer's reputation.
• Build a tight and solid professional relationship with the customer at plant level.
• Act as the contracted customer's representative, qualified to address production issues and gain credibility through fulfilled commitments.
• Maintain open and honest communication between OEM and the contracted customer.
• Suggest improvements to both OEM and contracted customer.
• Immediately analyze problems at OEM's facility to find the proper solution, avoid claims, and inform affected production plants to take corrective actions. Proactively channel claim information to the plant for analysis and resolution.
• Provide continuous feedback to the customer about the status and evolution of existing claims promptly.
• Participate in customer meetings as required.
• Seek continuous feedback, formal and informal, about customer satisfaction regarding our product and service.
• Audit regularly how the customer handles our products.
• Keep self‑trained and updated on technical and quality related specifics through regular meetings and visits to contracted partners.
• Monitor and report any competitor project or initiative to the TRIGO Resident Liaison Manager.
• Report on a regular basis, as defined by the supervisor, to the dedicated contracted partner's team or contact partner.
• Participate in any prototype, pre‑serial builds, line trials, launch support, and engineering changes at the customer as needed.
• Report to the TRIGO Country Resident Manager internally and to defined contacts externally.
• Be involved in customer requirements concerning technical changes and provide technical support.
• Represent the contracted partner and the interests of the customer.
• Coordinate repair and/or sorting activities on site. Start any sorting or rework only with written confirmation by the contracted client.

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong in process and process controls.
• Identify and implement standardized work.
• Experience in process and product audits.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving.
• Strong personality able to give direction and lead teams.
• Sequencing of automotive parts (preferred).
• Tier 1 experience (preferred).
