Civil Engineer – Municipal Group – Farnsworth Group

• Planning, design, permitting, funding, and construction of municipal projects
• Mentor staff and collaborate with the rest of the Civil team/offices
• Maintain relationships with state and local authorities
• Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects
• Attend city staff and council/board meetings as necessary
• Support municipal related project development
• Assist with client development and business development efforts
• Prepare project proposals

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 8–15 years of municipal, water, wastewater engineering experience
• Professional Engineer – PE License
• Project management experience
• Team player that can manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Sanitary sewer and water main design experience
• Experience working with local and state government organizations
• Familiar with Illinois EPA permitting and funding application processes
• Enthusiasm for business development
