Are you passionate about designing the future of manufacturing and supply chain operations? We're looking for an experienced Senior Material Flow Engineer to lead the development of end-to-end material flow solutions that drive efficiency, automation, and operational excellence in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- This role is located in Normal IL and candidates will need to be onsite for this role.
- Sorry but NO C2C or 3rd party vendors are allowed for this role.
- All candidates must work on our w2 with no restrictions.
What You ll Do:
- Design and optimize end-to-end material flow processes from external warehouses to the assembly line.
- Develop warehouse layouts, value streams, logistics networks, and routing strategies.
- Lead implementation of automation technologies including conveyors, AGVs, ASRS, and EMS systems.
- Analyze throughput, cost, space utilization, inventory flow, sequencing, and storage strategies.
- Partner with Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Packaging, Logistics, and Factory Design teams.
- Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Drive automation and AI initiatives to predict bottlenecks and optimize material flow in real time.
What We're Looking For:
- 5–7+ years of material flow, supply chain, logistics, or industrial engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience designing material flow systems and automated logistics solutions.
- Strong analytical and project leadership skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Micro Station, or similar layout software.
- Experience with Flex Sim, Any Logic, or comparable simulation tools.
- Power BI or Tableau experience.
- Knowledge of MES, MRP, WMS, or YMS systems.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master s degree, PMP, or APICS certification is a plus).
