Job Summary

This position serves as the initial contact for institutional financial aid inquiries, including emails, phone calls, and front desk reception. Duties include counseling, advising, and directing inquiries for applicants and recipients of student financial aid. Financial Aid Representatives are responsible for understanding and maintaining an extensive understanding of financial aid programs, processes, requirements, and policies. This position provides assistance with receiving and preparing forms and documentation necessary for processing aid.

Responsibilities also include assistance with administrative work and computer data entry. This position also represents the office at on and off-campus events.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$17.03 - $22.13 per hour

Required Qualifications
  • Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:

    • A. College coursework in any discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
      • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
      • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
      • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
      • Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
    • B. Work experience performing office, business, or customer/relations activities.
  • Work Hours

    8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends required.

    Functional Expectations
  • Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
  • Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Move about campus in various locations to complete day-to-day work.
