Overview
Gain rewarding experience with Total Spectrum — part of LEARN Behavioral. As a Behavior Technician, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). We are currently hiring for part-time Behavior Technicians in the Bloomington, IL area.
Responsibilities- Work with kids aged 2–22 with autism and special needs in their homes, schools, or in one of our centers.
- Engage in behavior-analytic instruction and supportive activities to foster skill development.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Transportation:
Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred. - Schedule:
Availability to work part-time Monday–Friday between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm; primary need Monday–Friday 12:00 pm–6:00 pm; weekend availability is a bonus. - Experience/Credentials:
Earn starting pay at $18/hr with experience; become eligible to earn RBT certification. - Age/Work Eligibility:
Meet the minimum age requirement of 18; eligible to work in the United States; availability to work a consistent weekly schedule mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings. - Other:
Ability to pass a background check. - Additional preferences (not required):
Bi-lingual English/Spanish; studied or majored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or related field; prior experience with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, or caregiver; interest in pursuing careers in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, therapy, counseling, or related fields.
- Promotional opportunities after learning the ropes of ABA, with potential for advancement in as little as three months.
- Paid time off (PTO):
Full-time employees can earn up to 15 days of PTO after 90 days of employment. - Sick leave eligibility for part-time employees.
- Comprehensive experience in ABA therapy across home, school, and center settings.
Physical requirements vary by client assignments and may include pushing, pulling, lifting up to 35 pounds, sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and running as needed by the client.
