The Echo Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory. Performs a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing. Assists physicians and sonographers in providing high‑quality echo cardiographic exams.
Qualifications- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate's Degree in Sonography
- Experience in lieu of education, work experience
Performs routine and complex echo cardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines. Demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors and alignment. Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Documents accurately and completely. Cross‑trains to other divisions of CV Services. Administers contrast when needed and not contraindicated. Completes documentation of studies performed and charges in Epic as well as completes preliminary info in Xcelera system for physician reading.
Is included in a rotation of call through the week and on weekends with other team members. Is team‑minded and provides compassionate care and quality studies to our community of patients. Performs all forms of Echo testing (exercise stress, dobutamine stress, echoes, pediatric echoes, transesophageal echoes) in a timely fashion. Seeks to advance knowledge in all aspects of Echo with an open mind to constructive learning and teaching.

The compensation range for this position is $33.87 per hour – $58.26 per hour. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
