Overview
The Case Assistant provides operational assistance to the Behavioral Health Day Group program: scheduling, coordinating treatment, verifying insurance, pre‑authorization of insurance, maintaining program census, including tracking referrals, admissions, and discharges planning, coordinating with external agencies and internal departments for referrals and continuity of care, ensuring billing is completed.
Responsibilities- Insurance verification for private insurers, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed Medicaid.
- Prior authorizations, including submitting, tracking, and concurrent stay reviews.
- Scheduling clients in an electronic medical record.
- Conducting phone screenings to check program eligibility.
- Maintaining a program census, including tracking referrals, admissions, and discharges planning.
- Coordinating with external agencies and internal departments for referrals and continuity of care.
- Case management for clients to decrease barriers to treatment.
- Assisting in creating program paperwork and client form.
- Collaborating with both medical, clerical, and behavioral health staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

The compensation range for this position is $18.39 per hour - $29.79 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
